International Food Festival

So this diary entry is veeeery late. Almost two weeks late, in fact. But, uh, better late than never?

Not that this entry's gonna be very long, but either way.

So, a couple of weeks ago ร–rebro had a food festival on Jรคrntorget. Originally I thought I'd only have time to go one day cus of work, but turns out, I'd forgotten that thursday was ... what is Kristi Himmelfรคrds called in English (my calendar app that insists on not letting me switch it to Swedish says it's called Ascension day)? So, I got the time to go twice.

Me and my company took way too long to pick what to eat, but I ended up buying my food from a greek stand, it was called Pita Deluxe. Don't remember all the stuff in it, but there was so much in the bread. Ended up being very messy to eat, but it tasted really good.

Also bought a korean cheese corndog from the same place I bought from last year, as well as some of their popcorn chicken to bring home with me and damn, that corndog still tastes amazing. The chicken was okay, but got kinda soggy by the time I got home since it takes a while to get back to the farm, so next time I should probably stick to eating it fresh. I did try to eat it on the well, as seen in the photo, but in the middle of it the wind started to get too lively to stay outside.

Pita bread stuffed to the brim with food, held in a hand. A half-eaten cheese corndog and popcorn chicken next to a Hazbin Hotel Angel Dust plush on a moss-covered well.

The second day I got to go I had jamaican jerked chicken. I've never had any sort of jerked meat before, tbh. It tasted good for the most part, I really liked the sauce and the beans in the rice. Don't think jerked chicken is for me though. Still glad I tried it though. I'll try some other jerked meat on some other date, see if I like that.

I don't know what that bread-ish thing was though, it was surprisingly sweet. I didn't expect it it to be. It paired really well with the sauce.

The food was super filling, I'm glad the box could be closed, I had to save like half of it for dinner.

A box with chicken drumsticks, rice and vegentables.

I really look forward to next year (as long as they have another festival next year) so I can try more new stuff. Also, have another corndog lol.
